Paladyn Herald

Know the cost before care.

Paladyn Herald is the patient-access estimator — it turns live eligibility and your contracted rates into a true patient-responsibility estimate, for upfront point-of-service collections and No Surprises Act Good Faith Estimates.

What it does

Patients want one number: what will I owe? Herald combines the patient's remaining benefits — verified through Watson — with contracted and fee-schedule pricing from your contract matrix and Sherlock to produce a defensible estimate at scheduling or registration. Anything that needs prior authorization hands off to Roland. And when no feeds are wired, Herald still works as a standalone manual calculator.

Capabilities

  • True patient-responsibility estimates from live benefits and contracted rates
  • No Surprises Act Good Faith Estimates
  • Upfront point-of-service collection amounts at scheduling and registration
  • Contract-matrix and Sherlock fee-schedule pricing behind every quote
  • Branded, printable estimates — plus a standalone manual calculator mode

How it works

1

Verify

Herald pulls the patient's eligibility and remaining benefits from Watson — deductible met, out-of-pocket remaining, plan specifics — so the estimate starts from what's actually left.

2

Price

The planned services are priced against your contracted rates and fee schedules — from the contract matrix and Sherlock — not chargemaster list prices.

3

Quote

The patient gets a branded, defensible estimate; the front desk gets a point-of-service collection amount; anything needing prior auth hands off to Roland.

Why it matters

Dollars collected at the point of service cost a fraction of dollars chased after a statement. An accurate estimate up front raises collections, cuts surprise-bill complaints, and keeps you compliant with the No Surprises Act — all from the same quote.

Security & compliance

Herald runs inside Paladyn's HIPAA-aligned environment; estimate data moves only over secure, credentialed connections, and every quote carries a tamper-evident audit trail. Every Paladyn tool is built toward HITRUST and SOC 2, with PHI controlled per our standards.
